About LendMap USA

A free, ad-supported online platform for state payday lending rules — 51 jurisdictions, 4,747 cities indexed, refreshed September 2026.

What the platform does

LendMap USA answers one question precisely: what is a short-term lender legally allowed to charge you in your state? Each state page lists the maximum loan, the maximum term, the fee cap, a worked example of a standard loan, and the regulator that licenses lenders and takes complaints. 38 jurisdictions permit storefront payday lending under caps; the rest restrict or prohibit it entirely.

Where the numbers come from

Limits, fee schedules, statute references and regulator names are compiled from state statutes and state financial regulator publications, cross-checked across the two sources before publication. Each state page cites its statute — follow it to the official text. Rules change; we re-verify the full dataset on every refresh and stamp the date on each page.

City data (population, county, median household income) comes from public US Census products and is used only to describe local context.

Who we are and what we do

LendMap USA is an independent referral advertising and information service — not a lender, not a broker, not a financial adviser. This website does not offer or provide loans; it offers a service. It maps what the law allows and what a loan really costs, and — if you choose to apply — hands your request to a loan application form operated by an independent third-party network of lending partners.

The site's owners do not evaluate loan applications and do not approve or deny credit: lending decisions are made solely by lenders in that network. We never charge visitors a fee — the platform is free, supported by advertising and referral compensation from partners, and sponsored placements are labelled. Submitting a request never guarantees approval and does not obligate any lender to offer you credit.

What this site is not

Nothing here is legal or financial advice. Short-term loans are expensive: they are meant for immediate cash needs, not as a long-term financial plan — every page shows the legal math so you can see the true cost before you borrow. This site does not sell your data; the application form is operated by a third party, so read their terms before submitting. The full picture lives in the disclaimer at the foot of every page and in our Terms and Privacy Policy.
